PK3

Typical PK expression when he is not going to co-operate.

Today he is the sweet boy we knew was still in there.

We have had an exceptionally difficult year with Parker (PK). He had many issues that we had to work through that usually resulted in he, I or both of us in tears. He is a very bright and determined young man and once his mind is set, there is NO changing it. It all started last November when he decided that diapers felt "bumpy" and he was finished with them. He basically potty trained himself, but it all went down hill from there because the rest of his clothes became an issue. It started with pants, then socks and shoes and finally shirts. NOTHING was acceptable. He finally settled on one pair of pj's that he would willingly wear. Now, when he stopped wearing diapers, he was still not dry at night, so we tried to introduce pull-ups. Not good! He went into a rage EVERY night as we tried to put them on, and if we were successful, he would just pull them off later. I was washing sheets everyday. Unfortunately he wouldn't always stay in his own bed, so the poor unexpecting family member with whom PK climbed into bed next to would end up...well, you know. Let's add to that fact that he would not stay in a car seat. I bought three different seats, but he figured out how to wiggle out of each. We just never knew what was going to set him off.

The list of difficult PK behaviors could go on for some time. I am just happy to report that my sweet little guy seems to be back (most of the time). Life is more peaceful again and he's wearing clothes! (except socks) I told Guy I think I should make myself a shirt the at says "I survived PK3"

Cooper of course thinks these are pictures of himself and asked why he was sad in the first one. We need to get up there so Cooper and Parker can work up some real trouble together!!

You captured the personality of each of your kids so well in so few photos and words.

This kid seems to be making rock-star parents out of you! Way to always handle everything with humor too. Parker is darling and I love that you call him PK. Also, the fact that your last two, he and Claire are both red-heads is the BEST.
